ACACI Conference: Reclaiming the Capacity to Heal
March 3 2023
Over the past two and a half years, our lives have been touched by grief. Working in a high school setting, school counselors are first responders to students’ mental health needs. Two high school counselors serving two distinct populations share their stories and invite former students for a conversation about grief counseling. Participants will recognize and debunk myths about the grieving process, learn how to approach grief counseling from a multicultural framework, and identify three strategies for working with grieving adolescents.
