College Counseling
During my time at Mundelein High School as a College & Career Resource Center Assistant, I designed various tools to increase communication and aid students and families with college planning. Additionally, I created and managed social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter), the MHS College Corner YouTube channel, and contributed to the College Planning Guide. I translated the same version of the 2019 newsletter to Spanish to connect with our Spanish-speaking families.
Access College Fair Packet
This Lake County college fair broadened access to college planning resources by inviting bilingual (English/Spanish) representatives to engage with our community.
Career Counseling
At Addison Trail High School, I am developing my career counseling skills by connecting students with opportunities to explore alternative postsecondary options such as certificate programs, trade school, or joining the military.
Field Trips
During my internship year at Prospect High School, I organized two field trips to assist students with their postsecondary planning. The first was for the 22nd Annual Latino Summit. It was hosted by both National Louis University and Harper College. The second field trip was to Elk Grove High School for a mini Skilled Trades Fair Field trip.
Skilled Trades Fair Field Trip
In April 2022, I organized a field trip for juniors and seniors to hear from a panel of professionals with backgrounds ranging from roofing, carpentry, electricians, and manufacturing technicians.
Latino Summit 2022
In March 2022, I collaborated with the Latinos Unidos Club sponsor to organize a field trip for 15 Latiné students to explore both 2- and 4-year college options.
